After School Lessons for Unripe Apples, by Soonkki. The love I have for the webtoon! It’s literally so good. I love everything about its story, artstyle, characters, humor, and the way the whole story is written.

I’m probably going to spoil things in the story so before I do that, I have to make a disclaimer for my own peace of mind: This story is not for everyone, but if you are like me, you will benefit, mentally and spiritually from going into this without any “spoilers”. It’s not like there's any mysteries but, there are things that were amazing to read without prior knowledge. So, if you haven’t read this, I’ll give you a little description. It’s a slow burn romance? comedy. It follows 2 middle schoolers going from childhood friends, to strangers, to rivalsish, to comrades, to friends, to lovers? There are plenty of shenanigans and chaos that made me have a great time. The story is also pretty wholesome, so if you need something wholesome right now, this is the one. If you are like me, this story will make your heart melt as these kids mess around. Oh, plus, the female lead isn’t the shy girl trope that you often get in webtoons. It’s so refreshing.

Now, when I say it’s a slow burn, I mean it. But it’s the good kind. The kind where you can look back and see how far they have come. The kind that actually rewards you at a moment you don’t expect. I don’t know if this counts for anything, but I usually don’t get through slow burn anything, but this one is just so good.

Another disclaimer… the community around this webtoon doesn’t seem to be extremely active all the time. So you might fall into the sadness that I fell into. After getting to a part that was really great, I was so ecstatic, but then I crashed and burned in wallowing self pity because I have absolutely no one to share this with. And to add salt in the wound, everyone I fervently recommended it to (practically begging), just brushed me off ;-;

I’m not done writing, i just had stuff to do, I’LL BE BACK I”M NOT DONE TALKING ABOUT THESE GUYS, they are so goofy I love them.
